VENETIAN MASK - BY HAMINIA HAAR - WON A PREMIUM AT THE INTERNATIONAL POETRY COMPETITION FROM PARETE, ITALY - 26TH OCTOBER 2013

VENETIAN MASK

My sweet heart,

You wore a Venetian mask
When I first met you.
It covered your celestial eyes
With Italian porcelain art...

Why were you hidden from everyone ?

During that Carnival of masks,
When you and the angels knew your pure heart
And I had come from so far away
To find it ?

I am sure you thought that behind your mask,

Nobody could see your passion in love.
You didn't know my ambrosia soul,
My intuitions from God
Who guided me to you...

I could make my dream come true

In the square " Saint Mark " in Venice,
I could take your mask away
To let free your love in truth,
But I didn't...

I would have liked to embrace you whole,

To kiss the Freesia-perfume, your lips
To tell you how deep I love you,
The love of eternity
In the crowd of Italy...

I didn't want to tell you any word,

To disturb your heavenly peace,
I let you live in the garden of love
In the music of chirping birds,
To dream a little more...

I let your feelings free

To discover the magic attraction
Between our twin flame souls,
Blessed and married by divinity
For timeless love in infinity...

.........

Some hours later,

When the Carnival was over
And the medieval music was winding,
I saw the same celestial eyes
Coming to me and asking ,

Would you, please receive

This Freesia from me ?

Haminia Haar,

The Orchard of Love, Nr.9
