India is a very powerful country and it has always been...from almost all points of view. Your roots are very deep connected with the oldest religion and culture in the world, the Indian one ! I like the Indian Philosophy very much.
My favorite Romanian philosopher is Mircea Eliade who went to India after graduating the university in Bucharest, our capital and studied all the Indian languages, culture, religions and traditions while falling in love with a beautiful Indian girl called Maytrey. Some years later he left India for USA and he became the first expert teacher in the History of Religions in the world. When he died, ab.20 years ago, the Americans didn't know what teacher was able to teach the History of Religions... Anyway, one of his students teaches about all the religions in USA now.
Mircea Eliade wrote hundreds of books, all of them being based on his studies in India but the most known novel in Romania and USA is MAYTREY. All the graduated High School people in Romania are requested to learn for the final exam MAYTREY, so the beautiful love story between the Indian Maytrey and the Romanian Mircea Eliade is known by all the Romanians and Americans. He is one of the best Romanian philosopher and the best teacher of the History of Religions in the world . You inspired me to write these thoughts ..."
