FEMALE FOETICIDE IN INDIA AND DOWRY FOR THE MARRIAGE OF THE INDIAN GIRLS

In India, the girl child is considered a burden 
as huge amounts of money, gold and other 
items need to be given in the form of dowry 
when she gets married.

Dowry is not the only reason for poor couple 
to abort their girl child. 

The ages old traditions, customs and beliefs 
of the Indian society are largely responsible 
for creating a negative mindset among the 
couples. 

More shocking is the fact that the sinful crime 
of female foeticide is not only common in rural 
areas where social discrimination against 
women, lack of proper education etc. can be 
considered as reasons behind carrying out such
acts, but also the ultra modern, so-called 
‘educated’ people living in urban areas and 
metropolitan cities who are a step ahead in 
killing the girl child in the womb. 

On the other hand the " the GIRL IS SEEN AS 
INCARNATION OF GODDESS’. "LAKSHMI " 

True, many families are out of bounds in joy 
when a girl child is born in their family. They 
think she will bring luck, harmony, happiness 
and peace in their family. 

They even touch her feet to seek her blessings. 

Many childless couples even adopt a girl child 
irrespective of the worries of her future. 

SAVE HUMANITY, SAVE GIRL ! GOD BLESS !

We Indians talk a lot about the problems we 
know but do nothing to resolve them. 

The sinful crime of female feticide is not only
common in rural areas where social discrimi-
nation against women, lack of education etc.

A killing a child is murder. How many parents
are treated as murderers? There is a cover up. 

How many doctors and mid nurses are put in 
jail for helping abort the female child? 

How many clinical laboratories in India are 
put out of business for testing positive for a 
female child? 

Dowry is a major cause of the female exterm-
ination in India. 

But how many parents are willing not to accept
 the dowry? 

How many educated young men are willing to
marry without dowry? 

It is like proverbial Cast System, everyone 
hates it and wants to eliminate it but no one is 
ready to marry their sister to a competent 
dalit boy.

Only inter-caste marriages can bring social 
equality in our stupid society.

India is a country of non-performers. 

People yuck, yuck, yuck.... and do nothing to 
solve and resolve these problems.
