WHAT IS THE ROMANIAN FOOD CALLED " MAMALIGA " ?

Mamaliga is the most known Romanian food which can be eaten with everything: cheese, meat, fish, fruits or fruits jam, milk cream or yogurt. The peasants make a very good cake with mamaliga and plum jam. They put on the plate first mamaliga, then plum jam, then mamaliga, then plum jam...and at the end they cut the cake and there are beautiful yellow and red pieces of cake...very, very tasty. You can put some cream over....it's so good !!!

Mamaliga has a wonderful yellow to orange color , it is also very good smelling and very good looking ! It is like calling you to eat it !

The singer says that during the financial crisis MAMALIGA IS THE BEST IN THE WORLD !!! It is the best to eat, the cheapest : only corn flour, hot water and salt which you boil together. If you want, you can eat it with a fork or with your hand.

If you have more money you can eat it with meat, or with cheese or anything else but the CHEAPEST AND THE BEST IS MAMALIGA WITH PLUM JAM !!! Of course, he is singing in a funny way but he says the truth . It is the best and the cheapest food in the world.
