WHAT IS THE CARNATIC MUSIC IN THE SOUTH OF INDIA - TAMIL NANDU, ANDHRA PRAKESH, KERALA, KARNATAKA
"Carnatic music (Sanskrit: Karnāṭaka saṃgītaṃ) is a system of music commonly associated with the southern part of the Indian subcontinent, with its area roughly confined to four modern states of India: Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu.
It is one of two main sub-genres of Indian classical music that evolved from ancient Hindu traditions; the other sub-genre being Hindustani music, which emerged as a distinct form due to Persian and Islamic influences in North India.
In contrast to Hindustani music, the main emphasis in Carnatic music is on vocal music; most compositions are written to be sung, and even when played on instruments, they are meant to be performed in gāyaki (singing) style. Although there are stylistic differences, the basic elements of śruti (the relative musical pitch), swara (the musical sound of a single note), rāga (the mode or melodic formulæ), and Tala (the rhythmic cycles) form the foundation of improvisation and composition in both Carnatic and Hindustani music.
Although improvisation plays an important role, Carnatic music is mainly sung through compositions, especially the kriti (or kirtanam); a form developed between the 16th and 20th centuries by prominent composers, such as Purandara Dasa and the Trinity of Carnatic music. Carnatic music is usually performed by a small ensemble of musicians, consisting of a principal performer (usually a vocalist), a melodic accompaniment (usually a violin), a rhythm accompaniment (usually a Mridangam), and a Tambura which acts as a drone throughout the performance. Other typical instruments used in performances may include the Ghatam, Kanjira, Morsing, Veena & Flute.
The most outstanding performances, and the greatest concentration of Carnatic musicians, are found in the city of Chennai. In particular, the six week-long Music Season held in Chennai every December, has been described as the world's largest cultural event."

UE si Egipt au inceput relatiile diplomatice in 1966. UE ar dori sa dezvolte o relatie deosebit de stransa cu Egiptul si sa sprijine reformele politice interne si ale acestei tari, potrivit Comisiei Europene. Pe 2 decembrie 2008, Egipt si Comisia Europeana au semnat un memorandum de intelegere privind Parteneriatul strategic in domeniul energiei, acesta desfasurandu-se in perioada 2009-2015.
Proiecte UE- Egipt:
- Dezvoltarea unei strategii cuprinzatoare de energie egipteana, care va avea ca obiective dezvoltarea capacitatii institutionale si reforma pietei energetice in vederea imbunatatirii securitatii energetice si dezvoltarea durabila;
- Stabilirea unui program de lucru pentru convergenta treptata a reglementarilor pietei de energie din Egipt cu cele ale UE;
- Dezvoltarea unei politici ample cu masuri relevante si proiecte comune in domeniul gestionarii cererii de energie, eficienta energetica si surse regenerabile de energie;
- Dezvoltarea retelelor de energie menite sa imbunatateasca securitatea energetica a Egiptului si UE, precum si de tranzit prin Egipt si din regiunea Mashrek spre UE;

MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA

Rodica ,
Tonight I addressed the American people on the future we face together.
Though at times it may seem uncertain, it is a future that is ours to decide, ours to define, and ours to win.
I know we will.
Because, after the worst recession in decades, we see an economy growing again.
Because, after two years of job losses, we've added private-sector jobs for 12 straight months -- more than 1 million in all.
Because, time after time, when our resolve has been tested, we, as a nation, have always prevailed.
Overcoming the challenges we face today requires a new vision for tomorrow. We will move forward together, or not at all -- for the challenges we face are bigger than party, and bigger than politics.
Yet the story of America is this: We do big things.
Just as the progress of the past two years would not have been possible without your hard work, we will not realize the agenda I described tonight without you.
So as we continue this great mission together, and we set out the plans for how far we can go, I need to know that you are ready to work side by side with me once more.
Will you stand with me as we strive to win the future?
The last two years have been marked by unprecedented reforms and historic progress.
But there is much more work to do.
Moving forward, America's economic growth at home is inextricably connected to our competitiveness in the global community. The more products American companies can export, the more jobs we can create at home.
This vision for the future starts with innovation, tapping into the creativity and imagination of our people to create the jobs and industries of the future. Instead of subsidizing yesterday's energy, let's invest in tomorrow's. It's why I challenged Congress to join me in setting a new goal: By 2035, 80 percent of America's electricity will come from clean energy sources.
It means leading the world in educating our kids, giving each of our children the best opportunity to succeed and preparing them for the jobs of tomorrow.
We must build a 21st century infrastructure for our country, putting millions of Americans to work rebuilding roads and bridges and expanding high-speed Internet and high-speed rail.
We must reform government, making it leaner, smarter, and more transparent.
And we must take responsibility for our shared debt, reining in our long-term deficit so we can afford the investments we need to move our country forward.
That is the vision I laid out tonight. That is how we win the future.
It is going to take a lot of work -- but I have no doubt we are up to the task.
Half a century ago, when the Soviets beat us into space with the launch of a satellite called Sputnik, we had no idea how we'd beat them to the moon. The science wasn't there yet. NASA didn't even exist.
But after investing in better research and education, we didn't just surpass the Soviets. We unleashed a wave of innovation that created new industries and millions of new jobs.
This is our generation's Sputnik moment.
Please stand together with me:
http://my.barackobama.com
It is because of each of you, who define the will of a people, that the state of our union is strong in the face of tough challenges. You are the reason our future is still bright in the face of deep uncertainty.
And you are the reason I believe that future is ours to win.
Thank you,
Barack

PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA VISITING INDIA IN DECEMBER 2010

President Barack Obama on Saturday began his 3-day visit to India with a surprise announcement of business deals worth $10 billion in aviation, power and other sectors that will create 50,000 jobs in the US, but he made a strong pitch for New Delhi reducing trade barriers.
Seeking to double bilateral trade and create employment in the two nations, he asked why India could not be US' top trading partner from the 12th position now.
Making the trip against the backdrop of strong electoral reverses on top of slow economic recovery, evidenced by the high unemployment rate, Obama appeared to strongly bat for American access to Indian market, saying US companies wanted to invest more in India.
"Infrastructure, greater trade barriers and other issues still pose some serious challenges. Today, India is making major investments in its infrastructure and creating greater transparency to support growth and entrepreneurship.
"Going forward that commitment must be matched by a steady reduction in barriers to trade and foreign investments from agriculture to infrastructure, from retail to telecom, because in a global economy new growth and jobs flow to countries that lower barriers to trade and investment," Obama said in his address to the US India Business Council as he began his maiden visit to India."

ABOUT INDIAN REPUBLIC DAY - 26TH OF JANUARY 2011

"Hi Rodica !
Today we are celebrating REPUBLIC DAY as our CONSTITUTION ,
the supreme law of the land came into force ! I wrote comments
on my fb friends status which I will post in my blog! I want you to
read it at first to tell me about my views!! It is ...
Honesty is in our soul but we seldom hear the voice of our soul!!
Most of the common people succumb to the pressure for indulging in
corrupt practices! If few of us raise voice against corruption , they
are physically eliminated by Mafias and Criminals taking the help of
weak law and order scenario in our country!!Honest need to be
protected and Corrupt need to be punished !!
Irony is that theses responsibility rests on POLICE and JUDICIARY
which mostly plays in the hands of POWERFUL...Most of the
present generation is self interested rather than public interested !!
We rarely think the impact of our deeds over the society!!
Our children are future of the Nation ..if they are properly educated
and full of national spirit...the scenario of our India will be very
different!!
The present of our Nation rests upon what moral values and
education we have, similarly the future of our Nation depends
upon what moral values and education we impart to our younger
ones!!
Actually we again need SOCIAL MORAL REFORM Movements in
our Nation as we had in 19th century when our country was under
British control, some public spirited people with moral values
should come forward from every area of our country and run
movements there to purge the soul and mind of present and
future generation!
If people with corrupt mentality take up the posts of vital
agencies like POLICE and JUDICIARY ..Its simply reflects our
society with grim reality!! Parents , Teachers, Social reformers
and Spiritual leaders have prime responsibility over them!!"

LOVING MESSAGE FROM SURYA !

Hi, Rodica !
Thank you for all the beautiful videos, pics and messages,
your sweet emotions!
I feel that if you love someone truly, you never demand
apologize...
I feel that when you need apologize that means your love
is not true... Apology is meant to satisfy ego... Ego is
antithesis of love... both can not exist together!
I need to tell you that I did not send you that ugly pic as
a gift as you usually send me, it was part of discussion
where I suggested you that beauty of body matters...
if ugliness of body creates disgust, beauty of
body gives pleasant feeling! I love beauty as you love it!
I dared to express my desire what I wanted as ideal
weight for my beloved..I always wanted a slim, fit and
very energetic girl in my life and of course she must be
intelligent along with having good soul !!!
I made my blog about one year back but I never wrote
anything and I forgot its web address...
I will create new one soon!
OK ! Bye... Take care!!

"I am missing the most important event,
seeing your Face ! "
"Come, come, come ! "
You are Allah's messenger for me .
I miss your words and beautiful face, always
spreading unbelievable Goodness.
Tell me if you like this poem. I think that
Rumi is better than Shakespeare in love poems.
Love and hugs from me. "
Fani:
"What a heart touching Music at the End
of this clip..." Hae na? Isn't it?"
This is from me, Rumi again...for you !
RUMI'S LOVING POEM AND MY LOVE FOR MY DEAR FRIEND, FANI
Haminia:
"Rumi, the best love poet in the world as I think. He lived
800 years ago but his beautiful poems sing into our hearts
and make our breath stop a little."
"Nice, impressive stuff as always you select for me."

MEMORIES ABOUT MY DEAR FRIEND FANI FROM JAPAN WHO GOT UPSET BECAUSE ANOTHER MUSLIM'S VIDEOS I POSTED ON MY BLOG
Haminia :
"My Dear Fani,
I think you are tired from so much work...so I send you a very relaxing Japanese song with good lyrics...only for You.
My love with hugs, too ! "
Fani :
"Yes Dear,
Thank you. So nice music.I can feel the real passion of local music like this. Now a days I am very busy... So, I couldn't contact you.
By the way, I am sorry for one complain. I visited your blog, so nice to see Posts of Quranic Recitations But after that so many very very sexy Indian songs. I was expecting some sort of respect from your mature mind. I think that selection of music was very ordinary. I couldn't expect such act by you at least. Definitely some one with ugly mind pushed you to post such stuff after looking sacred recitations.
Best of luck - Fani "
Haminia:
"Reread my poem for you...about my admiration for you praying. That is not a simple admiration for you as a man...I thing that you know it. I usually write in a Philosophic way and people don't understand me or take my words as something else, totally wrong.
If I will write to you something unusual, think that I am connected with God and he tells me everything to write and to say. I never lie !
That's why please, don't judge me wrong...please first think of what I wanted to say....
While watching you praying with your beautiful carpet down under your feet , I felt a great unexpected love into my heart, so warm, so strong into all my body and mind... it took away my mind for some good minutes...I felt fascinated by you and I also felt you as a messenger of Allah who was giving Him some other messages...
I also felt I was there...in a strange new way for me but very dear to my soul and mind...I was there together with you and Allah.
I was wondering why you took me into that unique travel because it was a travel to the Unknown Heaven as I felt... with Allah's will who told you to take me to your meeting in order to learn more than I knew...and that very magic moment was very real since that time till present.
I felt I traveled through the Universe...saw many new things..but I won't tell you more because you will not believe me.
That was he moment when you entered my soul and mind for ever !
I will always love you as much as I love myself. This is not a common love, dear Fani...this is spiritual that includes all three !
My crystal drop of water is much more beautiful than Mother Theresa's ! Tell me why ! You are the first man of science who I ask...then will come the others ...I will write an essay about this
even if some people won't want to believe...the real truth of Love !
I have arguments...100 % .
Haminia with love and hugs for the child who is playing into your pure heart !"
Fani :
"I can feel your wordings. You called me Childish and smile is here on my lips. Don't worry. You will find me close to you.
No worries. Be happy. Keep carry on your efforts to explore a new world. Get help from Islamic scholars, well known all over the world.
No worries really. Take care a lot."

Right now, Indian laws are only trying to prevent child marriages. Abolishing them is as as yet a distant dream
INDIAN FORCED MARRIAGE OF THE CHILDREN
Child marriages are obnoxious. It’s a social evil and it breeds, in turn, further evil. Sadly enough, it is prevalent in many parts of developing nations, including India. But before I proceed further to talk about it, let me clarify. When I give statistical figures which is frightening indeed, some Indians may protest that reports such as these may produce distorted views for those to whom India is but a hazy word, and they may be stuck up with images of cows on busy streets, roadside child acrobats, naked yogis, ubiquitous snake charmers and barely-teen mothers balancing water pots and babies. None of these images are false; but try including the following images in the collage: a nuclear nation with the third largest scientific and technical manpower in the world, satellite-enabled telecommunication system, cine actresses no less daring and baring than those from the Western world, and so on. You get the drift, I hope. When you think of child marriages, try to remember millions of women in cities who would chew you if you talk to them about marriage before they are at least 28, by which time they would have completed their post graduate technical education and settled in cushy jobs in senior positions.
Credits: Women’s UN Report Network
Child marriages originated in medieval ages in response to the threat from invaders, and it was virtually non-existent in ancient times. In fact, this was the underlying reason for the origin of early marriages and ‘purdah’, the system of veiling women from public view. Once the girl was married, it was believed, she would be the “property” of her husband’s family, and maintaining her chastity would be now their headache. So the concept of chastity and poverty form the twin reasons for child marriages.
Another reason quoted for child marriages, especially by the business castes in Rajasthan where it is still common, is the consolidation of financial interests between two families and the unquestioning concurrence of young children to adult’s schemes.
The census reports the highest number of child marriages take place in the state of Rajasthan, followed by Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. While the Census 2001 reports that there were around 300,000 girls under the age of 15 with at least one child, data from subsequent survey show an increase in the trend. For example, in West Bengal, the figure is 39.16, which is higher than the national average of 32.10 per cent. The reason? Dowry and the rising cost of marriages that enable unscrupulous elements to take advantage of the situation. They approach poor rural fathers and offer money and/or marry their girls without dowry, only to sell them later. The younger the girls, the better, as they can be easily intimidated and overpowered. Certain regions like West Bengal and Nepal fall within the International supply chain of trafficked women.

I GOT A MESSAGE FROM MICHELLE OBAMA, THE FIRST LADY OF AMERICA

Dear Friend Rodica,
The Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., is usually remembered for his heroic leadership of the civil rights movement -- he led the successful Montgomery bus boycott, delivered the "I Have A Dream" speech at a time when such words were still controversial, and ultimately gave his own life to the cause of equality.
But Dr. King was much more than a civil rights champion -- he was a man who lived his entire life in service to others, speaking out against poverty, economic injustice, and violence. Wherever he saw suffering, he did what he could to help, no matter who it was that needed him or why they were in pain. Through his leadership, he showed us what we can accomplish when we stand together.
Each January, we remember Dr. King on his own holiday -- and one of the best ways to preserve his legacy is to engage in service ourselves. As Dr. King told us, "Life's most persistent and urgent question is: 'What are you doing for others?'"
That's why this Monday, January 17th, Organizing for America volunteers will be participating in service projects all across the country in Dr. King's honor. There will be food drives, neighborhood clean-ups, education projects, blood drives, and more.
Will you find and sign up for an event in your area, and help make this country an even better place?
This movement is about so much more than politics -- it is about coming together through progress, change, and community. Lifting each other up in dedication and service is one of the best ways not only to honor Dr. King, but to honor each other. By giving service a new role in this country, we can establish a new foundation for our economy and a brighter future for our children.
That is why service is key to achieving our national priorities, and why Barack recently helped out at a Boys and Girls Club service event. Since moving to Washington, D.C., two years ago, he and I have gotten to know the community through similar service projects, including past Martin Luther King Day events. I treasure those opportunities, and I look forward to another one next week. Every time we pitch in, we get so much back, and always learn amazing things from our neighbors.
All of us have something to contribute, and all of us can make a meaningful difference in someone's life. It's a great way to remind others that they are not forgotten, and to remind ourselves that there are always things we can do.
Please help Barack and me honor the legacy of Dr. King, and join us in service to our country once again this year:

Thanks,
Michelle

ABOUT THE INDIAN WOMEN'S RIGHTS IN THEIR LIFE

Partha Baneriee :
"Just realized , again, that women in India are mostly second-class citizens: Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, upper class, lower class...don't make no difference."
Partik :"Big mama suffers the same way in Africa - guess anywhere outside North Europe and America."
Partha Baneriee :
"No, I'm not talking about that first class. I'm saying that Indian women, in spite of their talents, hard work and dreams, are very much undermined, and Indian men constantly take advantage of them. I've seen it all my life. Indian society -- urban in particular -- has changed on the surface with new malls and night clubs, but the change has not changed patriarchy at all. The stagnation is pathetic, and women are the victims."
Pree :
" Women anywhere in the world are... including USA. "
Partha Baneriee :
"But there is a qualitative difference. I'm not denying there's undermining and disempowering of women in the U.S. or other "developed" countries, but in the Indian subcontinent, it's pathetic, and it's culturally valid...ated. In India, of course, Kerala and Northeastern states are a little different; especially in Kerala, I heard that there's a matriarchal society, which, if true, is wonderful. In general, Indian women are truly subjugated, and Indian society is okay with it: some of it is explicit, violent and sickening; some others are subtle, and "progressive" places such as West Bengal are fine with it. I don't want to make it a theoretical discussion, because there are so many real-life examples."
Gargee :
"Partha, for once I think I agree with you! Most women in the subcontinent are far too 'tolerant' for their own good. Do you suppose insecurity has anything to do with it?"
Haminia :
Are they obliged to work only for their husbands in the house...to clean the house, to cook , to take care of the children and to make their husbands' desires ?
Why the intellectual Indian women don't work, don't practice their profession and stay at home ?
In Europe all the women are very happy to work for practicing their professions and also take care of the children together with their husbands after work . In the morning until evening the children are at the kindergarten or they are educated by their retired grandparents.
Are the Indian men selfish or jealouse on their women ? "
